What are Spirulina Capsules

Spirulina is one of the few plant sources of vitamin B12, normally found only in animal tissues. A teaspoon of Spirulina provide 21/2 times the RDA of vitamin B12 and consists of more than twice the amount of this vitamin found in an comparitive serving of liver. Spirulina is a blue-green algae. The name spirulina is from the Latin word for spiral denoting the physical make up of the organism when it creates swirling, microscopic strands.
